A lot of things have fallen into place over the last few weeks for Tyson and I. It means a lot of changes again, but we know that things happen for a reason. A little while ago, one of my friend's that works in the ER at Portneuf gave me a heads up that there would possibly be some openings soon in the Emergency Department. She said that if Tyson was still interested in working the ER, which is his dream job, then he should be on the look out and go ahead and apply. Tyson wasn't sure if he wanted to apply for a job somewhere else until after at least being at his current job for a year, but had a feeling that he should go ahead and apply anyway, just to see if anything transpired. After what seemed like months of waiting, but in reality was just over a week, he finally heard back from HR and they wanted to set up a time to do a phone interview with the manager of the ER. He had his phone interview the next day and things seemed to go well but he still wasn't convinced that they would be interested in hiring him since he didn't have any ER experience.
The next week, HR called and offered Tyson a part time position in the ER, which we got really excited about, until.....we found out he would not be eligible for benefits!! Tyson called them back a couple of hours later and let them know that he was interested in working for them and being a part of their team, but that there was no way we would be able to come without having at least insurance. That was the end of that and Tyson and I spent the rest of the day bummed out and thinking that it must not be meant to be. We felt like we had gotten our hopes up for nothing, but knew that we needed to just trust that the Lord knew what was best for us.
The weekend had passed and the next week, Tyson got a call from HR again, saying that they had talked with the ER manager and had let him know that Tyson wasn't going to accept the position because he wouldn't have benefits. She said that the manager really wanted him to be a part of their team and so they had stayed late Friday night going over staffing numbers and were able to come up with some more hours for Tyson, offering him a 76hr/pay period position with full benefits!! :) We couldn't believe it!! We were beyond excited and I was almost in tears. That same day, I received a call from a nurse that I used to work with in Labor/Delivery, telling me that the new manager had wanted to get my information, because she would like to be able to hire me back on!! Again, we couldn't believe how things just kept working out in our favor!! We learned a lot those few shorts weeks about putting our whole trust in the Lord and realizing that He knows what is best for us, and can see the big picture, even though we can't.
It just so happens that our lease at our apartment ended the end of May, and our renter's lease is up the end of May as well. Things couldn't have fallen into place more perfectly for us. We feel so blessed and are grateful for the opportunity that we have to be able to move back to Idaho and back into our house!! Tyson will be working full time nights in the ER and I will be working PRN in Labor & Delivery with my old friends!!:) There are things that we are going to miss about Washington, but seeing Tyson so happy about being back in Idaho makes things a little bit easier!!;)
My parents and Chris and Taylor were able to come up and help us get things packed up and cleaned which we are so grateful for. It was nice to have so many hands to help. We are now living with my parent's until we can get back into our house and after we repaint it all. It will be nice to be settled once again!!:)
We spent our last days in Washington mostly packing and getting things cleaned up. Teague was a little thrown out of his element without all of his toys and having less space to move around. We did discover that he can climb on the boxes and bins, he loves his camp chair and High School Musical 2!! I think he has a crush on Sharpay because his eyes are glued to the TV whenever she is singing in her swimming pool scene!!:)
