Hansen Reunion

This year, my mom was in charge of the Hansen Reunion and we had it planned for Camp Taylor.  The day before the reunion, the Charlotte fire started and they closed Mink Creek road leading up to Camp Taylor.  That kind of put a damper on our plans and we had to improvise for a little bit.  We went down to the Inkom park and had dinner and then came up with another game plan.  We received permission to be able to go to Camp Taylor if we went around either through Arbon Valley or the Garden Creek gap.  We decided that even though it would add on another hour and some, that would be the way to go.
We had such a fun few days with family, even though we weren't able to have a campfire and sing the traditional songs.  It seemed a little bit different than previous camping trips, but we still enjoyed visiting with and seeing everybody just as much as ever.
Here is the big lodge that was very accommodating for all of the people.  Not everybody was able to make it, but the majority of the 107 people were!  I feel so blessed to have such amazing family members.

The Foosball tables definitely got their use!:)

We had other things set up outside, such as kick croquet, horse shoes, the pool and all of the little kids enjoyed riding their bikes.
I made a life size Jenga game which was used both for playing the game and as stepping stones and blocks for the little kids.

The kiddie pool was a big hit.  Teague especially enjoyed it!  I didn't have a swim diaper for him at first and his diaper ballooned out extremely huge!:)  We all got a good laugh!

And of course it wouldn't be camping if you didn't get extremely dirty!:)

Derrick, Tyson and Eric hanging out in the lodge.
Kylee &Bronx and my cousin Nicole with her adorable little boy Porter.
Mike had to borrow Teague's bike since he didn't bring his own!:)
 Bronx walking my Uncle Dennis....

And playing peek-a-boo with Brandon and Drew!:)
I love camping and enjoying the beauty that surrounds us.  It makes it even better when you are surrounded by people you love!
