Washington Bound

It's official that Tyson and I are going to be moving!! Destination.........Tri-Cities, WA!! After several applications at different hospitals in Idaho, (including Portneuf Medical Center), Utah, & Washington, and only 1 interview, Tyson finally got a job in Richland, WA at Kadlec Regional Medical Center. He is going to be working in an Intermediate Care Unit and is really excited to finally start his career. At the beginning of July, Tyson had applied at the hospital and I applied in Labor & Delivery at the same place. A few days later, we were both set up with phone interviews and then called back to have follow up interviews in person. They flew us out and put us up in a hotel, so it was a fun little vacation. We took Teague with us and he did so well. We flew out of Idaho Falls to Salt Lake, and then into Pasco. Teague slept during most of the flights and if he wasn't sleeping, he was making everybody else on the plane smile with his cuteness!!:) We both interviewed the same day at the same time, and our friends Jory and Val watched Teague for us while we were gone. After our interviews we did an hour long job shadow on our units and got to see more about their facilities. Both of us felt good coming out of our interviews, but were still nervous about the possibility of maybe not getting them. We flew home the next day and played the waiting game over the weekend. That next week, we both got calls offering us the jobs and we were so exstatic. Tyson will be starting the middle of September, and then I will start towards the end.
There is part of us that is nervous for our little upcoming adventure....being in an unfamiliar area, starting new jobs, being the "new" people, and being away from family and friends. At the same time, we know this is what we are supposed to be doing and are very excited and grateful to both have jobs. I am sure that as the moving day gets closer there will be some tears shed, but we are anxious to be starting our next adventure in life!!

How fun! I'm sure it will be scary and crazy, but it will also be a fun adventure. Good luck!

What an adventure! Matt's brother and his family live in Pasco, and they love it. It is a really pretty area.
