I saw an idea on Pinterest around Christmas time and decided I wanted to start it this year and make it a tradition for our family. I changed it up to work for our family since our boys are still so young. We watched the Polar Express movie a few days previous and then one night after getting ready for bed and having the prayer, we gave the boys golden tickets and told them we were going to go on a little trip to look at the Christmas lights. We loaded them up in the car with their juice and bowls of popcorn and drove around the "North Pole" looking at all of the lights. The kids of course didn't really get the concept of the whole thing but I think it will be more and more fun in the future to surprise them one night when they think it is time for bed! We did enjoy seeing all of the lights and spending time in the car listening to Christmas music! I don't care what Tyson says!! It was "magical" to me!!:)
