The Dreaded Ear Infection

For the last couple of days, Teague has been acting really upset and nothing seems to make him happy. He has been waking up several times a night and throws himself around on the ground like he is ballistic. He jerks around back and forth while laying on the ground and then bangs his head on whatever is near. He has also had a runny nose and has been running a fever. It has been really frustrating not being able to help him and makes me sad when I can't comfort him. The other night, it was about 2 in the morning and Teague was up throwing himself around again, with nothing seeming to help, so Tyson and I decided to take him for a drive to see if we could get him to sleep. As soon as we got back to the house, he woke up screaming again. We decided to take him in to the hospital and have the resident in Labor/Delivery just take a look in his ears to see if by chance he had an ear infection. He had never had one before so we weren't sure how he would act with one. Sure enough!! The resident looked in his ears and it was definitely an ear infection!! Poor little guy!! It must have really been bothering him and super painful for him to be banging his head on the wall and floor. We got him some antibiotics and after a couple of days of that he seems to be doing better. We can't wait for our cute little boy to start feeling better so that we can have the fun and happy Teague back!!:) I sure hope that this ear infection thing isn't going to be a recurring event!!
