Valentine's Day

I am not a huge fan of Valentine's Day, but do remember that I did love it as a kid. For one, my mom would always have something little for us at our place setting, at the table when we woke up for breakfast. I always loved getting a little surprise and have decided that is a tradition that I will carry on because I always thought it was fun. Second, I loved picking out and giving the little Valentine's to all of my classmates. I am sure my mom knew who we had crushes on that year by what card we chose for which boys!!:)
Neither Tyson or I had to work this year, so we decided to celebrate as a family by going to Olive Garden. It was delicious as always. We gave Teague a lemon for the first time, and were excited to see his sour face, but much to our surprise, he loved it!! You will see by the pictures that it didn't bother him one bit, and he really went to town on it!!

After dinner, we headed to the mall to do a little shopping and give Teague some time to play in the little play place that they have. He loved every minute of being able to run around and see new toys. We also let him ride in one of those toy cars that moves back and forth and he thought it was great!!

We ended our night with a nice little soak in the hot tub. Teague hadn't ever been in one before and he was in heaven. Any time Tyson or I would hand him back and forth, he would start to cry because he thought it was time to get out!! Needless to say, when it was time to go in, he was not a happy camper.
We had a lot of fun spending time together and getting out of the house for awhile. We look forward to many fun Valentine's to come!!

Happy late Valentine's Day! I agree, V-day is so much better when there is a little baby to surprise with candies and hearts.

Looks like you guys had a great Valentine's Day! I like your idea of leaving a surprise at breakfast. I cannot believe how big Teague is! What a cutie! We miss you guys. I was in Poky last night and wishing I could stop by and see you!
